Do you believe in signs? When the weather is nice, I like to sit outside and write, and as I write this question a hawk flew nearby screeching out and making themselves known. I believe in signs; I believe that the Universe is trying to talk to us all the time. You can call that energy whatever you like. Every week when someone reaches out and says how much they relate to a reading I want you to know that I very deeply relate to these too. I know that what I am going through, there are others experiencing their own personal version of the same thing. Hello Cardinal, I see you.
This reading is bringing in the energy about a feeling of new opportunities, growth and potential. This is how the reading starts with the Ace of Wands. You are at the very beginning of something big, but you know that this is where you are supposed to be and what you are supposed to be doing. The 6 of Pentacles brings in the energy of giving and receiving, generosity and charity. This may be an opportunity of bringing in someone that can help you with learning opportunities, knowledge, equipment and other things that will be helpful for you. The Ace of Pentacles suggests that this is a new career opportunity or advancement in an existing career. This is a card of manifestation and abundance. It is a card that has the feeling of a seed that you know is going to grow and provide and abundance of growth. The 10 of Pentacles also suggest long-term success. This can be however success looks for you. Success can include more family time, money, feeling a sense of worth and well-being and so much more. “Success” can only be defined by you. Whatever you are doing now, you are in the right place and doing the right thing. Keep following the signs that you know in your heart to be true. Do the work and have faith.
Giraffe – See the Big Picture
Giraffes stretch upward to reach the treetops and look down from a high vantage point. When giraffe spirit appears, it is a sign to observe from a higher view. In all aspects of your life, it's time to stretch your neck out and broaden your view, open your eyes to what others need or are experiencing, and see the big picture you fit into. No matter how great your wisdom, knowledge, or experience, you don't want to overlook details and connections that will help you better understand yourself and your connections, so stretch yourself. Look beyond what catches your attention at eye level and know that not everything is as obvious as you might like it to be. Spirit will bestow upon you a new perspective that might make all the difference.
Are you sticking your neck out too far, reaching too high instead of looking around you to see conditions on the ground? Your devotion to co-creating something new is admirable, but Giraffe Spirit is showing up to remind you that you have to look at the whole picture, not just those tasty leaves at the top of the tree. Perspective is necessary now, and that means checking in with what is going on around you and at your feet.
Or perhaps you are ruminating over the worries of the world instead of paying attention to what you can do right now, where you are, to bring about the changes you would like to see. Align with your highest good, and know that while perspective is important, transformation begins where you are. Do not get so far up in the clouds thinking about all the big problems that you lose perspective and forget to do your part, however small it may be, to start enacting change – for transformation begins with you.
Fire Dance – Fire Energy
The Fire Dance represents the dance of life, for it is giving of life, which is the function of the Kundalini energy force (also known as serpent energy). It is through this energy that life and creation are achieved. The Kundalini energy is a mighty force that should be allowed to awaken at its own natural pace. It will naturally open as you become more loving and more conscious of your own divinity and connection to Spirit. Fire energy that is awakened too soon is at risk of misdirection. It is wiser to study, read ad work on your own spiritual understanding. This will gently let the fire energy rise; balance is very important in this energy system and promotes well-being on all levels. This can be referred to as sexual energy, but it is not limited to sexual use. All creation uses this energy. It is the creative force in the physical body. It is not completely dormant even in the least enlightened being. This energy is in constant use daily in conjunction with all of your energy systems, which all work together. This is a wonderful but very powerful energy, which demands respect. This card may also indicate you have been feeling low in energy. If so, be sure to review your eating, exercise, and your sleep habits. Take good care of yourself and make a ‘releasing of worries’ statement to yourself and the Universe. Consult a doctor if you feel there is any real problem.
If you would lie to do an exercise to help your energy systems stay in top running order, then sit in a quiet, comfortable place and close your eyes. Slowly imagine breathing in and out each color of the chakra system…start with red and move to orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo and violet. Imagine breathing in a beautiful mist of each color. Breathe each color until if feels integrated within your body and then move to the next. Soon you will feel more balanced and energized!
The creative forces flow through me in the perfect way.
My health glows with radiance, as I am in balance inside and out.
Great serpent, awaken in your own Divine Time, for that is as it should be.
So be it!
Connect with your fire energy through dance.
Whispers of Spring – Growth
In spring the world comes alive again with a rebirth of color, sensation and sunlight. Not even the spring rains can keep our spirits dampened. It is a favorite time for the fairy folk! There is so much for them to do. It is a time when they are busy helping nurture new plants and young creatures. Spring is about growth. Visualize yourself on a bright spring day…just breathe in deeply of all the fresh smells. Feel how clean the air is and how crisp, with just the right touch of warmth. Smell the new blossoms that are blooming all around you. Feel the freedom of going outside without a jacket…or shoes if you choose. In spring there is a sense that anything is possible. There is no shortage of hope. Bring spring into your life whenever you need it. If you may have been stagnant now takes on fresh momentum. You are starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel. Life is new and abundant, and you are ready to start again. Have confidence in yourself and your destiny. You are on the right track. At this time, you may be starting a new project, job or study. Enjoy the journey!
I breathe the essence of spring into my body.
I am energized and made ready for the next step of my journey.
I am filled with hope and I trust in my good.
All is right in my world.
So be it!
Dig in the Dirt today!
Baba Yaga - Baba Yaga (pronounced Bah-bye’yegg-ah), Slavic birth-death wild Goddess, rode about in a mortar – an extremely hard bowl used with a pestle to grind grain, nuts, et cetera. Her ways were fierce and wild, deep and penetrating, and could be interpreted as grinding away that which was extraneous. Baba Yaga’s house stood on chicken legs and danced about. Her time of death was autumn, for she was the life force present in the harvested grain. In Russia this Goddess was transformed into a witch who lived deep in the forest and ate children.
Baba Yaga flies into your life in her mortar to help you nurture wholeness by getting in touch with your wild woman. It is time to reconnect with the natural, the primal, and the instinctual. It is time to shake out your hair, your body, and shake up your life. Have you banished your wild woman to the dungeon? Have you chained her, muzzled her, caged her, lest people find out you are not nice, neat, and clean? Free her! You need her. That wild woman is part of your joy, part of your vitality, part of yourself in order to dance wholeness. Baba Yaga says it is most important for you to learn to integrate your wild woman because an unintegrated wild woman creates self-destructive behavior. The wildness is there and needs to be expressed. It is your choice whether to express it creatively or destructively.
