Weekly Tarot April 2

The reading this week is strongly bringing up balance. The High Priestess asks you to connect to your Divine Feminine. The Divine Feminine asks us examine ourselves honestly and holistically to find a balance that works for us. The High Priestess is also a representation of intuition, sacred knowledge and the subconscious mind. It is time for meditation. Allow time to sit in stillness and quiet and listen to the advice that is coming from within. The higher self will only give you advice based in love and compassion, everything else is coming from the ego. It takes some time to distinguish this and it is worth practicing. The 2 of Pentacles asks you to think of your priorities and find a sense of balance. The traditional card shows a person juggling as if things are pretty much at max capacity. What are you able to put down so you can have time to do the things that matter? The 10 of Pentacles talks about wealth, financial security, family and long-term success. I like to think of this as the lessons and things that we cultivate in our lifetime that will be strong enough to pass down to the next generation. Think of what you want out of life. Really sit with it and give yourself time. Then take the action steps to bring those thoughts to action. You will be happy with what you decide to do.

Night Light – Dreams

This fairy rests easily, all curled up in the knowledge that her faith keeps her safe within her world. This card delves into the realms of [recognition, intuition, and prophetic dreams. If you pulled this card you are probably a person with high intuitional skills. You may be someone who has precognitive dreams or premonitions. You know the phone will ring before it rings and you know who will be calling! You are a person who delves not only deeper into the mysteries of life, but deeper into your own being. You may be very advanced in your pursuit of knowledge or you may be just starting to follow the quest for insight. Read all you can on the spiritual topics that intrigue you. Take some classes if they are available to you. Study and learn. This is a spiritual quest you are on. Have faith and always ask that your helping, elemental friends be with you to guide you and protect you. If you have vivid dreams you may want to keep a dream journal. Keep a notebook and pen beside your bed and before you go to sleep at night remind yourself that you wish to wake up and record your dreams. You can train yourself to do this and then go easily back to sleep. In the morning read the journal and if anything pops up into your head concerning the meaning of the dream, write it down. Be sure to look at it again a day or two later. Often you will then see that your dream was prophetic or had meaning that you missed the first time. During our dreaming state our soul does some traveling and many of our dreams are actually events that we are experiencing. They may seem jumbled or not make sense because we are trying to interpret the information through our physical brains.

Oh Spirit,

I ask to be awakened to the knowledge of the Universe.

My soul hungers for the wisdom of creation.

I open up to receive your teaching.

I cast aside my unfounded fears and I go forth in Faith.

So be it!

Durga Devi is what the Goddess is called in India. To the Hindu, all Goddesses are one goddess, different aspects of Devi or the Divine Feminine. An aspect of Devi was called into being to rid the world of the evil demon Durga (pronounced der’gah). In the battle between the Gods and the anti-gods or demons, none of the Gods could destroy Durga, so they went to Devi and asked for help. Mountain a tiger and brandishing her fearsome weapons, she attacked the demon, who changed from one terrifying form into another until Devi slew him when he transformed into a buffalo. In remembrance of the great battle, Devi took the name of Durga.

You have called Durga into your life to help you create boundaries. What are you taking inside that should remain outside? How are you not protecting yourself, your life, your time? Is the statement “No I can’t do this right now, I need to care for myself,” part of your vocabulary? Perhaps you feel dumped on by others. Are you feeling pulled off center by demands to give and give and give till there is nothing left of yourself? Durga is here to assist you in nurturing wholeness by creating and fixing the limits of your personal space. Establishing clear boundaries is an act of self-love. Having no boundaries give others the message that you are limitless and want to be treated in a limitless way. No one is limitless; there are places where we are vulnerable, places that need to be treated with care. Durga says that boundaries are vital because they let others know who you are and where you stand.

Kuan Yin (pronounced koo-wan’yin), or “she who hears the weeping world,” is the Chinese Buddhist bodhisattva of Compassion. She lives on her island of paradise of P’u T’o Shan where she is said to grant every prayer she hears. She is so powerful that even the mention of her name will ease suffering and hardship. Choosing to remain in this world after having attained enlightenment, Kuan Yin has vowed to retain human form until all beings attain enlightenment. In Japan she is known as Kwannon.

Kuan Yin appears mercifully in your life to tell you it is time to nurture wholeness with compassion – compassion for others, compassion for your loved ones,  and compassion for yourself. Do you find yourself feeling irritated or apathetic to the suffering of others? What keeps you from your compassion? Do you allow yourself space and ease when you are less than your idea of perfect? Do you find yourself wanting to hurt others because you have been hurt? Do you fear opening your heart to the plight of others because it will hurt you? Compassion is the ability to listen deeply and allow others and yourself the space to go through what needs to be gone through and to feel what needs to be felt. Kuan Yin says that the way to alleviate your suffering is to develop compassion for yourself. From that compassionate place within, you can manifest compassion without.

Ivy –Finances

Fairies have no need to worry about finances. They just trust they will be provided for, and so they are. Trust has a lot to do with finances of humans also. Asking and then trusting that things will work out for you opens a pathway for your good to come to you. This is a time when financial issues are at a head in your life. There are opportunities opening up for you. Keep your eyes open and be willing to check out any offers that come your way. The Universe knows what you need and will provide if you stay grounded in faith. Look carefully at how you use the money that is given to you. Do you use it wisely? Are you saving some each month? Paying bills on time? If you find yourself resenting bill paying then change your attitude and face it with joy. Thank Spirit that you are able to pay your bills. Send each payment out with a blessing attached that, “…every person who comes in contact with this money be blessed.” Finances will surely take a turn for the better. Have trust and believe.

Mother, Father God…I ask for your divine intervention on my behalf.

I ask for the perfect solution.

I ask for the perfect timing for the manifestation of the solution.

I am willing to accept your guidance and your wisdom…

and I expect the miracles,

which are a demonstration of your love.
