The Death card is a good one. This signals the closing of a chapter, a big change and transformation. Death like a caterpillar changing into a butterfly. Whatever phase of this transformation you are in, know that is a good thing even if it feels like you are in the gooey cocoon stage. The 2 of Pentacles really brings in a state of needing to come back to balance. We are multi-tasking and juggling many things in our life and it may be time to put some things down so you can focus on what needs to get done. This is doubled down by the 8 of Pentacles which is a card of mastering a skill which takes, patience, focus and repetition. This is a time to focus on what we really want to be our priorities. This is especially true with Imbolc right around the corner. What seeds do you want to plant? How do you want your garden to be laid out? Now that the light is starting to return it is time to start the planning of how you want your year to go. Using New Year’s Day as a starting point for resolutions is great in theory. Who doesn’t want to start at the number 1? But it is in the middle of the darkest time of the year is not really very practical. We are creatures of nature and nature wants us to slow down in the winter. Now the light is coming back and now is a more practical time to move forward with changes. The King of Wands is all about being a natural leader and entrepreneur. He is a good sign that what you want to manifest with the right intentions that now is a good time to start and you may inspire others to do so as well.
Kuan Yin (pronounced koo-wan’yin), or “she who hears the weeping world,” is the Chinese Buddhist bodhisattva of Compassion. She lives on her island of paradise of P’u T’o Shan where she is said to grant every prayer she hears. She is so powerful that even the mention of her name will ease suffering and hardship. Choosing to remain in this world after having attained enlightenment, Kuan Yin has vowed to retain human form until all beings attain enlightenment. In Japan she is known as Kwannon.
Kuan Yin appears mercifully in your life to tell you it is time to nurture wholeness with compassion – compassion for others, compassion for your loved ones, and compassion for yourself. Do you find yourself feeling irritated or apathetic to the suffering of others? What keeps you from your compassion? Do you allow yourself space and ease when you are less than your idea of perfect? Do you find yourself wanting to hurt others because you have been hurt? Do you fear opening your heart to the plight of others because it will hurt you? Compassion is the ability to listen deeply and allow others and yourself the space to go through what needs to be gone through and to feel what needs to be felt. Kuan Yin says that the way to alleviate your suffering is to develop compassion for yourself. From that compassionate place within, you can manifest compassion without.
I am on the right path and divinely guided – When we relax into ourselves we feel more at peace and return to trust. We remember that each small step creates the whole; a journey overflowing with divine order. A loving force within and around you is guiding you on your path. Breathe. This guidance may take the form of inner knowing or may present itself as meaningful signs in your life. The exact name you give this guiding power is up to you: Source, God, Universe, Great Spirit, Higher Self, The Divine, Oneness, All Mighty, Consciousness, or many others. You may also look to your Spirit Guides, Angels, and Ancestors for support. It’s often a calm, encouraging, and lovingly firm voice, free from anxiety, force or fear. As you walk your path, notice and acknowledge the signs.
Law of Attraction – Relationships and activities that you once enjoyed are now changing as you become more sensitive and aware of energies.
This card signals that you’re experiencing shifts because of your spiritual path. The universal Law of Attraction says that like attracts like. So you’re attracted to people and situations that have similar intentions to your own. For example, if your intentions are to be loving and to see the Divine within everyone, you’ll attract loving people and situations. You’ll also repel people who have unloving focuses.
This is why you may find your relationships and tastes changing. You may avoid old friends who no longer fascinate you, or perhaps you now dread going to a job or club that you previously enjoyed. Know that these experiences and feelings are a normal part of the spiritual path; you’re attracting wonderful, new relationships, situations, and jobs that mirror your spiritual focus. Give any cares, questions, concerns, guilt and so forth to the angels for healing and transmutation.
Action Steps: Quietly call upon Archangels Raguel (the relationship angel) and Chamuel (the angel who finds what you’re looking for) and say:
“Archangels Raguel and Chamuel, thank you for helping me stay true to myself as I experience this important change. I ask for your complete and thorough assistance in sorting through relationships, my career, and other life areas where I feel my tastes have changed. Guide me through these changes with grace, compassion, and integrity so that everyone involved is blessed.”
